The Kitsch Biennale 2008 - Münich, Germany
(thank you David Dalla Venezia for the original writing of this)
The Kitsch Biennale will be held in Pasinger Fabrik, which is a culture house directed by the city of Münich. Several exhibitions of figurative painting have been held on the premises, and there is a gallery space of more than 540 square meters (4843 square feet). Pasing is a part of Munich, about 10 minutes with a train from Marienplatz in center city. Pasinger Fabrik is an early 20th century building, and in addition to 540 square meters of exhibition space there is a separate restaurant, a bar, and a small theater where WWK will present theatre plays. Please see [link] for pictures and more information about the venue (information only in German).
As many of you know, the Kitsch Biennale was originally an annual event, however, WorldWideKitsch has decided to turn the Kitsch Annual into a biennale exhibition. The Kitsch Annual 2006 (in Norway) created so much attention, nationally and internationally, that we decided to launch the event on a bigger scale. A larger scope and ambition demands more time and space, and we therefore decided that a biennale was the more appropriate format. We are thrilled to present the Kitsch Biennale 2008 at the Pasinger Fabrik, in Münich, Gemany!

Michelle and I went to the Target Center today to watch the most inspiring and substantive political speech I have ever seen in person. The 22,000 seat center was full. One of the lines went around the Center over the 7th st bridge and well into North Minneapolis - reaching at least a mile. I was at his state campaign office yesterday - and the room was full of people answering phones with the response "sorry, it is sold out". Minnesota wanted to be at the Target Center. Actually, to be fair, there were probably people that visited Romney at the realty office in Edina - and Clinton's event will probably sell out tomorrow at Augsburg (all 230 seats).
Seriously now, Clinton was up by 7 last Thursday - so there is no doubt that the race will be tight here in Minnesota. Frankly, I am a little confused about how her numbers are so high. Because I have never actually met a Sen. Clinton supporter. So -if you are one - I would love to talk to you. Not to convert you just to better understand the position.
I'll leave you with two video links. one - part of the Target Center speech and two- a recent post by a group of musicians.

For all of my fellow political junkies. Here is a screen shot I took on Friday, May 4th 2007. It was my prediction then - and it remains my guess for the general. Regardless of the polls at this point. I guess we'll get a bit more info tonight. I'm working on some written thoughts about why Obama is getting my vote. If I finish it, I'll post it here.
Happy voting SC.
